About Daniel

Daniel works on Coda One's PDF and document toolchain. His background is in enterprise document management, which mostly means years of watching people try and fail to convert a 200-page scanned PDF into something editable. He tests every PDF tool Coda One ships against a standard set of problem documents: government forms with filled boxes, academic PDFs with footnotes and equations, invoices with tables, and scans with handwriting. He writes about merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing, editing, and OCR'ing PDFs. He also has opinions about why most online PDF editors mangle forms, which he will share if you ask.
