Is the Chrome extension free?
Yes. Install it free from the Chrome Web Store. You get 3 free AI Humanizer uses and 3 free Grammar Checker uses per day, no signup required. AI Detector, Translator, and Word Counter are unlimited on the free plan.
Do the free limits match the web version?
Yes. Both the Coda One web app (codaone.ai) and the Chrome extension share the same free tier: 3 Humanizer uses, 3 Grammar Checker uses, and unlimited Detect AI / Translate / Word Count each day. The extension is just a faster way to trigger the same tools from any page.
Does it work on all websites?
It works on any webpage where you can select text, including Gmail, Notion, and most web apps. Google Docs blocks the right-click menu, so use the popup there. Some restricted sites (banking, etc.) may limit extensions.
Do I need a Coda One account?
No. The extension works without an account. Create one only to sync usage across devices or upgrade to Pro.
What browsers are supported?
Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and any Chromium-based browser. Not available for Firefox or Safari.
How should I review Humanizer output before submitting?
Use the Humanizer first, then run the built-in Detector to review the result before submitting. Detection scores vary by text and by detector, so treat them as signals for revision rather than guarantees.
Is my data private?
Text is sent to our servers for AI processing only. We do not store, log, or sell your content. The extension requests minimal permissions.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Click the extension icon and select "Upgrade". Plans start at $9.99/month. You can pay with credit card or cryptocurrency (USDT/USDC).
Can I use it on mobile?
Chrome extensions do not work on mobile browsers. Use our web tools at codaone.ai/ai-tools for mobile access to the same features.
What changed in v1.1.1?
The April 2026 release brings a full editorial redesign of the popup, floating bar, and result panel to match the codaone.ai design system. Daily free limits were also unified — 3 uses per day for each AI writing tool, across both the web app and the extension.
