Use Cases

Receipt & Expense Reports

Convert a month of receipt photos to PDFs in one go — either as separate PDFs (one per receipt) or a single merged expense PDF for accounting.

Photo Archive Digitization

Photographers digitizing an archive can batch-convert scanned JPGs to PDFs (one PDF per year, event, or client) with consistent naming.

Legal Discovery & Evidence

Batch convert exhibit JPGs to PDFs in discovery order. The tool preserves file naming so exhibits stay organized.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the batch limit?
Up to 50 JPGs per batch. For larger sets, split into multiple batches. Each batch produces either a zip of individual PDFs or one merged PDF, whichever you choose.
Can I preserve the JPG filenames?
Yes. In one-PDF-each mode, output PDFs use the source JPG filename (photo123.jpg becomes photo123.pdf). Handy for maintaining sort order in expense or evidence workflows.
How long does batch conversion take?
Browser-based conversion processes about 1-2 images per second depending on size. 50 phone photos takes around 30-60 seconds total, including zip packaging.
Can I schedule recurring batches?
The browser tool is on-demand only. For recurring batches, use a command-line tool like ImageMagick in a shell script: `convert *.jpg output.pdf`. For one-off recurring work, the browser tool is usually fastest.
What happens if one JPG fails to convert?
The converter skips the broken file and continues with the rest. At the end, you see a list of skipped files with reasons (corrupt JPG, unsupported color space, file too large).
