Frequently Asked Questions

How large can a batch be?
Up to 50 PDFs per batch, totaling about 500 MB of source material. Each PDF is processed in sequence; pages from all PDFs land in the output zip organized by source filename.
Will the output filenames be predictable?
Yes. A PDF named report.pdf produces report-page-1.jpg, report-page-2.jpg, etc. Batch uploads keep each source PDF in its own folder inside the zip.
Can I extract only specific pages?
The batch mode extracts every page. If you need selected pages only, use the single-file mode where you can type a page range (e.g., 3-5, 8).
How long does 50 PDFs take?
Depends on page count. 50 PDFs averaging 10 pages each (500 pages total) take roughly 2-4 minutes in the browser. Large scanned PDFs (with big embedded images) take longer than vector-text PDFs.
What if a PDF is password-protected?
The converter skips password-protected PDFs and lists them at the end. Unlock them first with our Unlock PDF tool, then rerun the batch.
