How does PDF comparison work?
Upload two PDFs. The tool extracts text from each page and shows a side-by-side diff highlighting additions, removals, and changes.
Does it compare visually?
Currently text-based comparison. Visual (pixel-level) comparison is planned.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. pdf.js extracts text entirely in your browser.
Can I compare different versions of a contract?
Yes. Upload the original and revised version to see exactly what changed.
Does it handle multi-page PDFs?
Yes. Pages are compared in order — page 1 vs page 1, etc.
What if the PDFs have different page counts?
Extra pages in either document are shown as entirely added/removed.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No. Only embedded text is compared. Use OCR first for scanned documents.
Can I download the diff report?
Copy the diff output or take a screenshot. Downloadable reports are planned.
Does it highlight specific changes?
Yes. Added text is highlighted green, removed text is red, unchanged text is normal.
Is there a page limit?
It works well for common browser-based review jobs. Very large PDFs depend on your device memory and browser performance.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes.
How accurate is the comparison?
Very accurate for text content. Layout differences are not detected.

Can I start comparing PDFs right away?
