FAQ

How does PPT to PDF conversion work?
We use JSZip to read your .pptx file entirely in your browser. Slide text, images, and basic formatting are extracted from the PowerPoint XML structure, rendered as styled HTML pages, then converted to PDF using html2pdf.js. No data is uploaded to any server.
Is my presentation uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your slides never leave your device — no upload, no server, no storage.
Which file formats are supported?
Modern PowerPoint files (.pptx) are supported. Older .ppt format is not supported — save it as .pptx in PowerPoint first.
Will the formatting be preserved?
Slide text, bullet points, and embedded images are preserved. Complex layouts, animations, SmartArt, charts, and custom fonts may not convert perfectly — this is a lightweight browser-based converter, not a full PowerPoint renderer. For pixel-perfect results, use PowerPoint's built-in "Export to PDF".
Is there a file size limit?
No hard limit, but very large presentations (100MB+) may be slow depending on your device. Most typical presentations convert in under 5 seconds.
Can I convert presentations with images?
Yes. Embedded images (JPEG, PNG) in your slides are extracted and included in the PDF output. External linked images are not supported.
How many slides can I convert?
There is no slide limit. The tool processes all slides in your presentation sequentially. Very long presentations (100+ slides) may take longer.
How is this different from PowerPoint's "Export to PDF"?
PowerPoint's native export preserves animations placeholders, SmartArt, and complex layouts more accurately. This tool is for when you do not have PowerPoint installed or need a quick conversion. It handles text and images well but skips decorative elements.
Can I convert Google Slides presentations?
Yes. Download your Google Slides as .pptx first (File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint), then upload it here.
Can I compress the output PDF?
Yes. Presentations with many images can produce large PDFs. Use our <a href="/ai/pdf/compress">PDF Compressor</a> to reduce the file size after conversion.
Can I merge this PDF with other documents?
Yes. Convert your slides to PDF, then use our <a href="/ai/pdf/merge">PDF Merger</a> to combine it with other PDF files such as a Word document or Excel report.
Are speaker notes included in the PDF?
No. The current converter extracts slide content only (text and images). Speaker notes, comments, and hidden slides are not included in the output.
Can I convert only specific slides?
Currently all slides are converted. If you need only certain slides, convert the full file and then use our <a href="/ai/pdf/split">PDF Splitter</a> to extract the pages you want.
